What can I do to reduce tooth sensitivity?
Sensitivity occurs when the underlying layer of your teeth, the dentin, is exposed. It is caused by many factors such as brushing too hard, tooth decay, gum disease, acidic foods, and teeth grinding. Our office has many products to help reduce sensitivity. We offer relief during procedures and oral education to help in day to day life.
How safe are dental x-rays?
The amount of radiation you are exposed to during a dental x-ray should not be a concern for most people. Thanks to technological advances, radiation beams pinpoint small areas. The procedure is even more efficient with higher speed X-ray films and film holders. Additionally, X-ray machines are legally subjected to regularly inspection.
