A cap, or covering, that is fabricated in a lab from a scan to custom fit the prepped tooth to strengthen a tooth that is mostly filling or has had a root canal, the crown is permanently cemented, fixed prosthesis.
Why would I need a dental crown?
After a root canal, or on a tooth that is mostly filling, to strengthen and support the tooth.
How long will my crown last?
Insurance will replace a crown every 5-7 years. However, a crown can last 10 to 20 years or longer with proper hygiene and care.
